INJURY SPECIFIC TRAINING

 

LOWER BACK PAIN

Exercise is currently proven to be the most effective treatment for lower back pain. With a dance background we're pros at stretching and core training. We'll be incorporating pilates based core work as well as teaching Glute activation and better hip hinging and correct lifting technique. We're confident we can really improve and usually get rid of your back pain!

UPPER BACK PAIN

We can correct upper back posture by strengthening the back muscles and stretching out the shoulders. We  also offer soft tissue, and massage.

KNEE INJURIES

We can work with clients to teach reactivation of the glute muscles, increase flexibility in leg muscles, and work with imbalance in the quadriceps. We can teach swimming to work with people who are struggling with impact. Good examples of injuries we’ve worked with include: Runners knees, patella tendonitis, meniscus tears, patellofemoral stress syndrome, ITB band syndrome, and ligament injuries after the acute injury stage.

ANKLE INJURIES AND PLANTAR FASCITIS

We can look at building ankle stability slowly and carefully. Often developing the glutes and correcting alignment of the knee along with ankle strengthening will aid recovery

COMMON SHOULDER INJURIES AND DISLOCATIONS

We can help correct muscle imbalances that lead to shoulder problems and get you back in the gym much sooner. for dislocations we can help with Building stability in shoulder after the shoulder has recovered to prevent reoccurrence.

Common shoulder problems that can be improved with strength training include but are not limited to: rotator cuff injuries, Impingement and tendon injuries, frozen shoulder and dislocations

GP REFERALS

We're qualified to take GP referrals and can work with clients from any fitness level, we can train people most ages, around most injuries and can take patients with some neurological disorders.
